WE TEACH THE WORLD NEW WAYS TO DREAM

Theatre Bristol began 39 years ago as the dream of Bristol, Tennessee resident Cathy DeCaterina. Her efforts to provide the children of Bristol with exposure to the performing arts led to the formation of the Bristol Children's Theatre in 1970. By 1980, the organization had become Theatre Bristol and was producing a full season of plays and musicals for the entire family. Our mission is pretty simple - to educate, inspire and entertain. We achieve these goals through a wide variety of community outreach and public service initiatives, such as The Discovery Series for Young Audiences, The Catherine F. DeCaterina School of the Arts and our season of main stage performances.

Theatre Bristol receives support from the National Endowment for the Arts, Tennessee Arts Commission, Virginia Commission for the Arts, Rose Center, Johnson City Area Arts Council, City of Bristol, Tennessee, City of Bristol, Virginia and numerous individuals, corporations and foundations from throughout our region.

Theatre Bristol is one of the areas most vibrant theatre companies. Share in the magic of live theatre. Through your generous support Theatre Bristol can continue in its mission to educate, inspire and entertain. Season ticket sales and souvenir program advertisement sales only make up a small percentage of the funds needed. Please consider an individual contribution, an endowment or other such donation to Theatre Bristol. Theatre Bristol is a 501 (c) 3 tax-exempt charitable organization and all contributions are tax-deductible.
