So, dont waste a second-enroll your child today for a great time! Completed grades K-12 July 14 thru 18, 2008 from 9 am to 3:30 pm
Theatre Bristol proudly announces our Summer School of the Arts for 2008. This years theme will be Storybook Live! focusing on characters from children's literature. Students will learn acting skills as they take part in humorous and dramatic skits based on some of the greatest personalities that fiction has to offer. Combining art with acting, the students will learn costuming and stagecraft skills as they build their own costumes and props. The week will culminate in a performance at the Paramount Center for the Arts on Friday, July 18, Tunes at Noon Concert Series. Storybook Live! is open to students who have completed Kindergarten thru 12th grade. The cost is $100 per student. The Cathy DeCaterina School of the Arts will run from July 14-18. Classes will be from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm. Students should bring a lunch and a snack will be provided. Students should wear closed-toe shoes (no flip-flops, clogs or crocs), for better movement. Owing to the success of last years format, music and dance will be offered only to the students who wish to participate. Each child will have a chance to perform, however no child will be pressed to sing or dance if they do not feel strong in that category. Theatre Bristols mission is to educate and entertain and make both enjoyable. A special stagecraft class will be added to the curriculum for students wishing to learn the behind-the-scenes aspects of theatre. This class will only be open to grades 8 and up and will only be offered if there are enough students enrolled. About Theatre Bristol Award-winning Theatre Bristol (Appalachian
